James Gunn's Superman Casts 2 More Important Daily Planet Co-Workers
Cat Grant and Ron Troupe are entering the DC Universe as James Gunn's Superman movie adds two new cast members to the film. Gunn's new DC Universe is closer to becoming a reality as production is currently underway on the new Superman movie with David Corenswet as Krypton's last son. Filming on Superman is expected to wrap in July before entering post-production, which will then be a year out from the film's theatrical release.
With Gunn's Superman film having another month left in filming, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Mikaela Hoover and Christopher McDonald have been tapped as Cat Grant and Ron Troupe, respectively, in the new DC Universe movie. While McDonald (not to be confused with the MacDonald actor from Hacks) is a newcomer, Hoover's casting reunites her with Gunn, as she also starred in Super, Guardians of the Galaxy, and The Suicide Squad.
