What Is Star Trek’s Chin’toka System In Picard Season 3?

Warning: SPOILERS for Star Trek: Picard Season 3, Episode 7 - "Dominion"The USS Titan-A hides from the Changelings and Starfleet in the Chin'toka System in Star Trek: Picard season 3, episode 7, "Dominion", a key location from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The scrapyard in the Chin'toka System is the last hiding place that Commodore Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton) can think of as Admiral Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) and Commander Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) attempt to find allies within the compromised Starfleet command. The Chin'toka System has major significance for the Changeling plot in Picard season 3, as it was the location of two major battles during the Dominion War.
The "travesties of the Dominion War" come home to roost in Star Trek: Picard season 3, episode 7, as Captain Vadic (Amanda Plummer) finally revealed the origins of the evolved Changelings. The new flesh and blood Changelings are the results of brutal experiments by Section 31 at Daystrom Station to create the perfect spies. The torture that Vadic and her fellow Changelings endured, combined with the Morphogenic virus engineered to bring an end to the Dominion War, drive her revenge plot against the United Federation of Planets. The scars of the Dominion War have not healed decades later, as evidenced by the state of the Chin'toka System.
