The Flash"s New Trailer Makes Henry Cavill"s Superman Absence Even Worse

The second trailer for The Flash features even more recreations and references to past DC movies just like the first trailer. As such, it's become even more odd that Henry Cavill's cameo as Superman was reportedly removed from the final cut. Cavill's absence is even more tragic considering the fact that all the callbacks look like they've been handled really well.
Although the franchise is moving on with a brand-new DCU envisioned by new heads James Gunn and Peter Safran, The Flash looks to be filled with Man of Steel references and Easter eggs throughout. Additionally, Ben Affleck is present as Batman and there are rumors Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman will be making an appearance as well. As such, it's clear that the old DCU still has its place in this upcoming movie before The Flash will reportedly help soft-reboot the DCU. As such, it's unfortunate Henry Cavill won't be appearing in the new film.
