Looks Like Titans Forgot Beast Boy"s Epic Solo Episode Already
Warning: The following contains SPOILERS for Titans season 4, episode 11, "Project Starfire."The penultimate episode of
Titans season 4 seemingly forgot all about the Beast Boy solo episode "Dude, Where's My Gar?" The show's treatment of Gar Logan has drawn criticism since the first season, with the shape-changing superhero originally limited to transforming into a tiger. While the second and third seasons expanded Beast Boy's powers, he was still incredibly limited compared to the comics and rarely employed his powers. He also didn't get the same story focus as other characters, often staying behind to watch the base while other heroes took center stage.
Titans season 4 took steps to address these issues, with Beast Boy getting a solo storyline that established his connection to the mystic force called The Red. This built up to the epic solo episode, "Dude, Where's My Gar?" which confirmed Beast Boy's full potential as a superhero and the wide array of abilities available to him through The Red, including dimensional travel and teleportation. Unfortunately, the promise of a new future for Beast Boy was swiftly broken by the Titans season 4 episodes that followed.
