Star Wars Set Up Darth Plagueis" Sith Master In 2015, And He Can Finally Appear Next Year

Star Wars set up Darth Plagueis' master years ago, and he could finally appear on-screen next year in The Acolyte. The master of the master who trained Emperor Palpatine, Darth Tenebrous was an influential Sith Lord descended from the long line of masters and apprentices dating back to Darth Bane, who instituted the Rule of Two. Now, The Acolyte has an opportunity to flesh out this early Sith Lord even further in the established canon.
In Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, Palpatine revealed the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise to Anakin Skywalker. Without specifying that he was the apprentice who killed Plagueis, Palpatine confirmed just how powerful his master was by detailing his ability to influence the Midi-chlorians to create life itself. However, every Sith Lord had a master once, and Plagueis was no different. Darth Plagueis was the apprentice of Darth Tenebrous, canonically confirmed to still be his master back in 2015.
